easy and light summer pasta

tonight my plan was make pizza's for dinner but after turning the air off yesterday, i had two choices to avoid heating up the house...pizza's on the grill (which requires lots of prep and organization)...bad idea for two year olds who have no patience....or an easy pasta dish...i chose the easy pasta dish...recipe follows...sorry about the lack of posting...will get better : )

ingredients: pasta, olive oil, homegrown tomato, basil, 6-8 mushrooms, 1 small zucchini, peppered bacon, olive oil, salt, pepper, finely grated romano and parmesan cheese

put water on to boil for the pasta
put four strips of peppered bacon in the microwave.  4 minutes at 70%, 2 minutes at 100%, cook then cut
chop mushrooms, zucchini
put pasta in water when boiling (cook according to directions), the last 2 minutes of the pasta cooking, add the mushrooms and zucchini to pasta and water to blanch
cut tomato and basil
drain pasta and veggies
put back into pan, add tomato, basil, bacon, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1/4 cup romano and 1/4 cut parmesan
stir and add salt and pepper to taste
i barely have any leftovers tonight...it was that good
